About the speaker
Reynier Peletier is the director of the Kapteyn Astronomical Institute at the University of Groningen, working here since 2003. Before this he worked as a lecturer at the University of Nottingham in the UK. He work on various aspects of nearby galaxies, but mainly on Bulges of Spiral
Galaxies and on Stellar Populations and also have a strong interest in instrumentational developments, such as Integral Field Spectroscopy.
