Is the Sun special?

Resumen

In comparison with Solar twins in the Solar neighborhood the Sun has been found to be somewhat poor in refractory elements relative to volatiles. Why is that? Different explanations suggested, related to planetary formation, to Galactic evolution and to dust cleansing by bright stars in the proto-solar cloud have been explored
and the results will be presented. The significance of the Solar composition for the study of the solar birth environment will be discussed.
